Yet sometimes we get it right
Radspannerei
2017
About
Together with Blinkenbox IT-Kollektiv we worked quite hard to get this one right: The new website of Radspannerei – a Berlin based bike shop/collective. This spring, we relaunched their famous (but back then technically outdated) Radspannerei-Blog and launched their new web-shop. We aimed at catching their alternative approach to bikes – while building a seamless experience for readers and customers alike. We really enjoyed working with Radspannerei – and probably they are a perfect place for your (new) bike, too!

IN*VISION
2016
About
IN*VISION is a seminar&festival organized by Falken Berlin. The 2016 edition of IN*VISION is themed "weiße.perspektiven.aufbrechen." (something like "break white privilege!"). We helped updating the print- & merchandise layouts and we also built a new website – for which we translated some ideas from the print design to the screen. The website is based on our new favourite CMS Kirby. Our work was a small contribution to IN*VISION — but for us it is great to be able to support them in getting their message across. Some of us will attend, so let's meet at 2016's IN*VISION!

Pride Parade Berlin
2016
About
For the most awesome DISABILITY + MAD PRIDE PARADE BERLIN (BEHINDERT UND VERRÜCKT FEIERN PRIDE PARADE BERLIN) we built a new website. We aligned our design with their existing, quite brillant poster layout. At the same time we wanted the site to be as accessible as we could achieve – so we also made a secondary contrast version for when you can read those better. (And we are always looking for critique in this regard, so let us know when something does not work for you!) This has been our first project using Bastian Allgeier's awesome flat-file Kirby CMS — and we'd recommend Kirby to everbody. But, back to politics: Be sure to learn about PRIDE PARADE BERLIN's work – and to support it!

Misogi Dogi
2016
About
In close collaboration with Lucile Barras, the founder of sustainable Aikido clothing company MISOGI DOGI, and the Swiss branding and multimedia agency SICHTFELD, we created a cutting edge design. Being at the core of MISOGI DOGI’s cooperate strategy, it visually reflects the brand’s commitment to the Aikido philosophy, while presenting the company’s product and their efforts in a streamlined way. The project included an online shop based on “WooCommerce”. Check out their website and support their effort of sustainable production of martial arts uniforms — especially if you're an Aikidoka!

Moritz Gerlach
2015
About
The idea of this project for Hamburg based photographer MORITZ GERLACH was to give photos and text the presentation they deserve – fullscreen photo views, combined with beautiful typefaces. This was our first project using the photographer's CMS “Koken”. Our development was based on an Open Source theme by John Elgenstierna. We love the result – and we hope you do, too.

AH by Grünwald
2015
About
For the recently founded small fashion and handbag boutique AH DESIGNED BY GRÜNWALD we designed their online store, which is based on the shop system “WooCommerce”. In our work we took the font used for their logo – a version of the modern classic ITC Avant Garde Gothic – as a basis for the site's appearance. Together with our client we decided on a monochrome color scheme, which is contrasting their ornated and visually complex product line. A big part of the job was business consultancy, especially regarding all aspects of integrated online retailing.

Robert Herzog
2015
About
For the artist ROBERT HERZOG we built a clean and responsive website which is dominated by it's fullscreen background images, simple and few design elements and a clear navigation at the bottom. The idea was to put the art and the underlying ideas into the spotlight. Apart from the website we designed print materials, e.g. for exhibitions. Still one of our favorites!

Herzog Parkett
2014
About
For the small, but awesome solid wood workshop HERZOG PARKETT we rebuilt their website. Using their coporate identity color orange as a design guideline, we refreshed their 90s-looking old page with something still basic, but not outdated. We also worked some magic to improve their position in search results.

Theater Miamou
2013
About
As our first project this one was the catalyst for us getting back to building websites. We worked closely with Mirjam Hesse, the artist behind Berlin based modern puppetry theatre THEATER MIAMOU. Her idea was to built a website that doesn't want to be just a website: The result is somewhat playful and breaks with rules of standard webdesign, but is still clear and intuitive. In 2015 we refined some elements.
